 Hey,
I am not able to use field label property in any of the form fields be it textfield, textarea, checkboxes, etc.

Am I missing on something?

I believe the field label will not work if not in a formpanel.  The formpanel is still in development and will be released later.  It will be really really really really awesome if Coolite surprises us with the formpanel in the v0.6 release.

The code is simple. A text field inside a panel. I am out so cant type in the exact code as I am out. But could be sumthing like this.
<ext:panel id="panel1" height="500" width="500">
<ext:textfield runat="server" id="txtfield" fieldlabel="name" />
</ext:panel>
There is scriptmanager on top of page.

 I think you are right jchau. We cant use it without form panel. Geoff mentioned in his earlier mail, that he has switched this property off.

We have to use <label for="textfield" /> for now. If you discover any other option. Lemme know.

Hey guys,

The FieldLabel property is not currently supported, and in retrospec I should have just commented out the property for now to avoid the confusion. The FieldLabel will work once the <ext:FormPanel> is available. At this point I'm not sure if the <ext:FormPanel> will make it into the v0.6 release, but it will be available shortly after.

The plan is to release a Beta (or maybe Alpha) release of v0.6 very shortly. We're working on something big and it's getting close, but I'm not happy yet.

The <ext:FormLayout> has been added to the v0.6 release. The FormLayout includes support for the FieldLabel property.
