Microsoft has released a second intellisense patch, which unfortunately doesn't work either. I thought I'd share this before people got excited and all just like I did.

dang. I too was hoping this defect would have been rolled up in that hotfix.

  There is a new hotfix out which concentrates on designer-bugs in VS2010:

Maybe our problem is solved there. Unfortunately I do not have time to try it out at the moment.

I have tried this new hotfix, however it hasn't addressed the IntelliSense problem (surprise, surprise!)

 Yes me too. And no effect. That´s really a shit (sorry!)
They write that they have fixed the issue.... Why don´t the put that in their hotfix?

I think I will stop testing 2010 in my free time. There are more interesting things to do.

But.... I also must say that I had a little problem with downloading the hotfix.
The hotfix-download-tool seems to download 2 hotfixes, but only one download worked.

Did you have the same problem?

Nope didn't have that problem - only one hotfix downloaded.  I've not used the Hotfix Download Tool before - Firefox just downloaded the hotfix file directly.

I've been sent a private build for the Microsoft.VisualStudio.Web.dll assembly that apparently contains the fix. At the moment I can not test, but if anyone wants to try it out, please email me (geoff@coolite.com) and forward the information I received.

Hi,
I tried the assembly sent to me by Geoff and it seems to work. Not tested thoroughly, but most of the components seems to work. I did the following : 

1) Copied the file to Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\Common7\IDE
2) Signed the Assembly from .net command prompt : sn -Vr "[AssemblyPath]\Microsoft.VisualStudio.Web.dll"
3) Forced overwrite and added to GAC : gacutil /i "[AssemblyPath]\Microsoft.VisualStudio.Web.dll" /f

I will update this thread if I find any bug.
